Google Analytics data is processed in the United States. When you create an account, we send Google Analytics a SHA-256 hashed identifier derived from your Supabase user ID — your raw account ID is never transmitted.
When you create an account and Advertising is on, we send Meta, through the Conversions API, a SHA-256 hashed copy of your email address and of your account ID, together with your IP address and browser user agent, so Meta can match the sign-up to an ad. We never send your guest list or seating data. The Meta Pixel loads only on our public pages and on the planner; it is never loaded by a sign-in, checkout or survey page.
When you first visit SeatCanvas, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies by category:
Visitors in the EEA and the UK have every non-essential category set to denied until they choose; elsewhere, non-essential cookies default to on and can be turned off at any time. Vercel Analytics measures Core Web Vitals and page views without setting cookies and runs on every visit.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as turning Advertising off for Meta.
To review or change your choice later, open Cookie settings in the site footer, or in your planner profile and mobile settings. You can also opt out of all Google and Meta analytics and advertising cookies by emailing hello@seatcanvas.app.
SeatCanvas uses third-party service providers to operate the Service, including:
When an Event Pass holder runs Smart Seat, we may send Google a pseudonymized description of the seating problem so it can suggest an arrangement: table sizes and relative positions, household sizes, opaque group numbers, the seating rules you switched on, which households to keep apart, and household-level tags you set (children only, includes an elder, includes a party-loving guest, includes a guest with mobility needs). Guests are grouped into households, and each household, table and group is replaced by a short code that only your browser can map back. We never send names, email addresses, notes, event details, or your account identifier. Under Google’s paid-service terms, Google does not use this data to improve its products and keeps it only for a limited period to detect abuse. Smart Seat runs on free accounts never send this data to Google.

If you live in California or another US state with a similar privacy law, you may have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Our use of the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure our ads may count as sharing under those laws. You can opt out at any time: turn off Advertising in Cookie settings, or use a browser that sends Global Privacy Control. Either one stops Meta measurement from that point on. Opting out stops new data from being sent; cookies Meta already set stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them. We do not sell your personal information for money. You can also make any request by emailing hello@seatcanvas.app.
SeatCanvas is available to users worldwide. We do not specifically target residents of any single jurisdiction, including the European Union, but users from those regions may use the Service.
The Service is intended for adults only.
SeatCanvas does not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service may contain links to or rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Their privacy policies apply independently.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
